The Mighty Immune System

Join us for an engaging, informative, and empowering exploration of one of the most complex and powerful systems in the human body: The Immune System, AKA Nature’s Ultimate Defense and Repair Crew.

Part vigilant defender, part cleanup crew, the immune system protects us from microbial invaders while also playing a key role in healing injuries. We'll explore the organs, cells, how it activates, and how it distinguishes between self and non-self. As always, I’ll share some fun facts and practical takeaways, including:
*Why inflammation happens—and what you can do to reduce it
*A simple strategy for supporting your body during autoimmune flare-ups
*My personal go-to method for avoiding a cold after exposure

This class is family friendly and open to all ages. Whether you're a caregiver, a student, or someone who wants to understand themselves a little better, you belong here.

Note taking is optional — come as you are and soak it in. No science background needed. No homework, no quizzes, no tests. Just curiosity!

Because the better you know your body, the better you can advocate for your own health and well-being.

Warning: side effects may include increased curiosity and an urge to chat about physiology at dinner parties.

Nothing is so strong as gentleness, and nothing so gentle as real strength ~ Saint Francis de Sales
